According to the story, the phrase came from something the guy working the liquor store at 0dark:30 said once, when Tom went in to buy vodka, but although sterilising piercings came into the picture, I'm still not entirely sure where fits the cat.

As for Katzchen and piercings... I don't recall for certain; it never seemed the right time to ask.
