newsbits: Neil Gaiman's putting out a new graphic novel, returning to the Endless. This makes me happy, although all I know of the man's work I've gathered in one-liners and images of Death and Dream. There's just something quiet and darkly, wistfully accepting about the whole thought...

Underworld is an enjoyable expenditure of ~2 hours and $20. It stays true to its own myth of "Where Vampyres and Lycanthropes Came From" and "How They Operate", explains neatly the things that would make a viewer go "now hold on a bit..." (ie: CPR to a vampyre...wait, isn't she already dead?...well no, not quite...) and has well-choreographed action sequences. Not quite as White Wolf as I'd expected, but that's probably a good thing. I'm satisfied.

Except that now I can't get the longing for talons to go entirely away. ~raises eyebrow, shrugs~
