The Dusting-Off of Hands...
Oct. 24th, 2003 03:47 pm~exhales and shoves hand through hair~ Okay. October is officially close enough to over for me to rejoice in having bested it. The Divine only know(s) how, but we've managed to pay all the bills--even the completely bloody random $252.50 blighter, although we still owe our landlord $125 for his help with it; BLESS YOU, THOMAS MERRITT. THIS DEBT, TOO, WILL BE PAID WITH ALACRITY.
And November...at least I have a better idea of what will be jumping out from behind things at me come November. That debt to our landlord, for one. Potentially, a security deposit and rent at a new place in town, for another. The unavoidable bills. And a pay-cut for Adam, if we sign on with the insurance his work is offering (better coverage for the lot of us--Daemon, too--for only ~$75 more than we're paying our current providers for just him and me=worth the weekly paydrain). ~exhales again~ Also figured out how *I* can get paid just about every week, without quitting my current gig; all it takes is being able to implement the schedule I've tentatively worked up. BLESSINGS BE ON ALL OF MY FREELANCE-PRACTICE CLIENTS!!! YOU LOT HELP MORE THAN YOU KNOW; THANK YOU FOR INVITING ME INTO YOUR HOMES!!!
The hardest thing I have to face in the next few weeks is pruning my closet into Keep, Store, and Give Away so that it'll fit into a chest of drawers and a foot of closet space. If I can do that, then the rest of packing will be a snap... Arranging our Stuff in the smaller space will be entertaining to say the least, but if it's meant to work, it will.
And anyway, I need to prune the jungle I call a wardrobe, whether we move or not.
~...pauses, blinks round at life...sighs, smiles ruefully~ It's not insurmountable...
It only feels that way when he ignores me...
~snorts...shakes head~
Happy End of October, all. Don't let 'em steal you.
