Mar. 5th, 2004 06:27 pmAcid Reflux? Nay. "Hypertrophic Pyloric Stenosis". Basically, the exit-door of his little fist-sized stomach was too well-developed to let his food flow through, so since it couldn't go out *that* way, it came back up the way it came in.
A day without food and 90 minutes of prep and surgury later, he's on the mend. At 21:00, he gets an ounce of Pedialyte, then three hours later (assuming he keeps that first ounce down) 30 cc's of formula.
::exhales long-held breath:: Oh, my kitten... we're tryin', baby. We're tryin'...
I have, however, been pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness of my clientele. My most regular customer called just before they came to wheel us to surgury to tell me that Dae was in her prayers, and that she had the utmost confidence in the staff here at Vanderbilt... ::soft smile:: And you know, I've got the feeling that when that particular lady makes a request, the Divine gladly answers.
So.
To bed with the windling...such as bed is at the moment. And many many blessings on the windling's mother, for coming up to lend two very helpful hands.
