Thanksgiving. ~peaceful smile~ Darned good one, too.

Hauled Mischa and Mark up to the old homeplace today. They seemed willing to be hauled, so hey. :) Somewhere between watching Mischa watch a redtail circle with this ~exhale, *home*~ look in his eye, and half-listening to Mark and Dad in intense conversation, it hit me that these guys really *are* Pack--they're sliding in with my blood-crew like they've always been a part of it. At the moment, they the lot of 'em--Adam, too, I think--have foregone their afternoon nap to help Da replace my Dovienya's back hatch.

Last night...~grin~ Yeah. The guys were over, and conversation took turns that I thought Phil and Madonna might enjoy, so we called them, invited them over... stayed up till two-ish talking and listening to music and watching parts of The Usual Suspects and Wonder Boys... ~slow satisfied smile~ An excellent night, even if I did only get four-ish hours of sleep...

Yesterday at work... It was funny. There's one dear lady who's been a client of mine from day one--literally, she was the first person I worked with, and with a very few exceptions, we've seen eachother every week since. Yesterday, she asked how I was and I answered, "Eh. So so." and explained how this would probably be our last session, since Scott and I were parting ways. "How wonderful!" she says.

And I blink. Eh?

"I've been trying all week to figure out how to break to you that we're moving; I thought I'd just *say* it on my way out the door so I could cry and be done... But this!"

And so we laugh, and so we hug, and so it's suddenly okay to be leaving. I'm reassured that I'm not trying to steer minus a rudder.

Life is good.
