A few e-mails ago, Mischa mentioned the flick Roadside Prophets. So I finally followed the link. You're right; it does look interesting. I'm willing to give it a shot if you can find it. (Hell, we gave Napoleon Dynamite and Coffee and Cigarrettes the shot... The second one, by the end of it, achieved what the first one was going for, stylewise, I think... Neither one is something you get sucked into and look back at later, like, "Wow! Greatest movie I've seen in a while! Yeah, there were weak points, but jeez, will you *watch* the thing?!"... more something you stare at like abstract art... "It's interesting; what's the artist *saying*, though?" So no, I haven't been too burned to keep trying oddments.)
What made me curious, though, reading through the full credits as listed on the IMDB, was that a bloke whose screen name is John Doe did a song on the soundtrack called "Beer, Gas, Ride Forever". And the lyrics for this curious song are either buried so deep in the net that no casual googlesearch will exhume them or they *just* *aren't* *here*...
Being a disciple of the Age of Information, I find that second option hard to believe... but by God, if it's true, then I want to find the song twice as much, so I can rectify the problem...
