"How to Be Creative"
Aug. 18th, 2006 01:37 pmWow. ~quiet smile~
I like this. Even when it crawls up under my skin and starts to itch, I appreciate the value. Not sure which is better, the words themselves or the cartoons drawn on the backs of business cards.
Try one out:

from #22 ("22. Nobody cares. Do it for yourself.")
and this:
" 24. Dont worry about finding inspiration. It comes eventually.
Inspiration precedes the desire to create, not the other way around. ... If youre arranging your life in such a way that you need to make a lot of fuss between feeling the itch and getting to work, youre putting the cart before the horse. Youre probably creating a lot of counterproductive Me, The Artist, I must create, I must leave something to posterity melodrama. Not interesting for you or for anyone else..."
So yeah. :D If I had a printer and a corkboard, I'd print this one out and hang it up. Since I don't, it's just getting bookmarked and memorised slowly.
Here. Go see what you think.
