Absurdly pleased...

Got a new printer today. Found a Canon iP2600 at Mal-Wart for $30, and since that's roughly what a black ink cartridge for my CURRENT automated-Bic costs, and I'm freshly paid from the book commission, I figured it was time.

While I figure out what all this one wants that isn't included in the box, I'm also printing every black-and-white document I can think of needing on the old printer. Because $30 ink, you use. And then you tuck the old printer away carefully, just in case something goes to hell with the new one. (oh, me of little faith...)

See, Mark has an odd-sized binder wherein he keeps notes and records of previous mead-brewings. As best we can tell, the thing wants 7x9" paper with three holes ~2.5" apart from each other. It wants such paper, but be damned if we can find the paper to give to it. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and set up a printed form for his notes, of the proper size, just waiting to be trimmed free and pierced.

So there's the old printer humming along, and here's me, much more proud of my day's work than maybe I should be.

Screw it.
I'm happy.
I'll keep it.
